Sally Evans

Founder, Château George 7

Sally Evans is the founder of Château George 7, an award-winning boutique winery on the right bank of Bordeaux, France which she built from scratch with no prior experience in wine.

After an international career at Accenture, leading global marketing to launch new business areas, Sally made a bold midlife decision to completely reinvent her life. She transformed a plot of old vines and some neglected buildings into what is now a critically acclaimed wine estate.

From the very first vintage, Château George 7 wines have won accolades from leading critics and publications and are now listed in Michelin starred restaurants and top venues internationally. Sally has also created a sought-after wine tourism destination, recognised for delivering exceptional visitor experiences.

Alongside running the estate, Sally is an accredited tutor at the Bordeaux Wine School, sharing her expertise with wine lovers from around the world. In 2024, she published her international bestselling book Make the Midlife Move: A Practical Guide to Flourish After 50, inspired by her passion for helping women redefine what’s possible in the second half of life.

With a BA Hons degree in languages, a Master of Education and having lived and worked across the UK and Europe, Sally brings a uniquely international perspective to her work - combining business acumen, creativity, and her own experience that it is never too late to start again.
