Genevieve Gregorich is a social scientist, educator, and entrepreneur whose mission is to help light the way toward a more prosperous and deeply connected society. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Colorado-Denver and holds a PhD from Columbia Business School. Genevieve’s scholarly work focuses on how business leaders navigate competing pressures from stakeholders, particularly in times of social unrest and heightened political polarization. To complement this focus, she studies the broader social environment, analyzing how beliefs shape social movement mobilization patterns and how zero-sum beliefs impact social and economic interactions. More broadly, her work explores how the stories we construct, theories we internalize, and beliefs we hold, define and often limit the boundaries of what is possible for people, organizations, and societies. In line with this focus, Genevieve is also developing a novel folklore-inspired system for intuitive self-discovery, designed to help people transcend limiting thought patterns and self-concepts to harness their power and realize their potential.

Before pursuing her PhD, Genevieve worked at the Federal Reserve Board where she studied trade policy, collective action, and industrial production, as well as taught Economics and Personal Finance at local high schools. She has written teaching cases on creativity, innovation, and political processes within organizations and has led workshops to help aspiring business leaders cultivate leadership potential as well as navigate the risks of communicating about sensitive, polarized issues. Her previous TEDx talk, Life is a Game of Bullshit. This is How You Win, explores the undeniable value of truth-telling in a world that appears to reward trickery. The talk resonated with audiences and garnered over half a million views within a few months.
